OTHER NEWS: 28th January 2011 - music scholarship: Our congratulations to Edward Stapleton of Shrewsbury, who has won a music scholarship from Prestfelde School! Edward plays piano and saxophone.
1st August 2011 - examination result: Our congratulations to Abdul Poonawala, who gained a distinction at his Grade 1 violin exam (138) at the ABRSM Harrow centre. The exam took place in the summer session 2011.
9th December 2011 - examination result Our congratulations to Maurie Zitaa Kuha Kumaran, who gained a distinction at her Grade 3 theory exam (94) at the ABRSM Harrow centre. The exam took place in the autumn session 2011.
12th December 2011 - examination result Our congratulations to Abdul Poonawala, who gained a distinction at his Grade 2 violin exam (132) at the ABRSM Maidenhead centre. The exam took place in the autumn session 2011.
20th April 2012 - examination result Our congratulations to Roma Patel, who gained a distinction at her Grade 1 guitar exam (138) at the ABRSM Harrow centre. The exam took place in the Spring session 2012.
6th January 2012 - new sessions for younger pupils (London and Shrewsbury): Active in Music will shortly be commencing sessions for younger pupils (at present we teach from the age of 5). These sessions will be half an hour in length, taught within a group and will include musical games, basic theory and ear skills. They will form an ideal starter for younger children, ultimately leading nicely on to our main study sessions, where pupils additionally learn either piano, violin or guitar and take part in our termly concerts.
