Young Musicians In Anniversary Concert - June 2006

A CONCERT to mark the 250th anniversary of the famous Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will take place this weekend in Shrewsbury.

Youngsters, some as young as five, from the Shropshire School of Classical Music, will introduce and play a selection of some of his most well known pieces.

The concert, which is being supported by Shrewsbury Summer Season, will even include a specially baked slice of Mozart's birthday cake.

The event will take place at the Gateway on Saturday June 17th at 1pm. Tickets are £2.50 for adults, £1 for children and are available from the Music Hall on 01743 281281.
